    Comfortable, well equipped, 19th century terraced cottage on a quiet country road between traditional Peakland villages. Panoramic views over the beautiful Wye Valley. Great walks from the door, easy access to Peak District attractions.



    About

    At the heart of the Peak District National Park, our cottage is 300m high on a quiet road overlooking the Wye Valley, surrounded by farmland and with an amazing view to the Staffordshire Moorlands beyond Buxton. For a green holiday there are many walks straight from the door, and good bus connections in nearby Litton.The Monsal Trail is easily reached on foot via Litton Mill and on a bike via Cressbrook, and the cycle hire centres at Blackwell Mill and Hassop Station are just a short drive away. Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Bakewell and Buxton are all within a 10 mile radius. A little further afield are Edale, Hope and Castleton in the Dark Peak with hill walking and spectacular caverns to explore. Very well equipped, the cottage comfortably accommodates 4 adults in one double and one twin room, with two shower rooms, one en suite and one separate. There is electric night-storage heating throughout and a woodburning stove in the lounge/ dining room. Separate kitchen and large glazed porch opening onto a small patio garden. Another small sitting room on the first floor has a sofa bed for extra guests. Cot, highchair and baby bath available. Off road parking in owners' courtyard next door. Good shopping and eating with the emphasis on local produce is to be found nearby in Litton at the popular Red Lion pub and the award-winning village shop, even more in Tideswell just two miles away, and there are many excellent pubs in the surrounding villages.Please note accommodation is on three floors, stairs are fairly steep, and there are no sleeping or toilet facilities on the ground floor. Non smoking. Extra upstairs sitting room with :sofa bed: drying facilities:separate enclosed porch ( off kitchen) + outside washing line (no tumble drier) :Patio garden with garden furniture:boot cleaning faciliities outside.
