Rudyard Lake Railway

A narrow gauge railway running alongside Rudyard Lake, using the route of the old North Staffordshire Railway.

About

A narrow gauge railway running alongside Rudyard Lake, using the route of the old North Staffordshire Railway. We have a mixture of steam and diesel engines as well as covered carriages from both the old Rudyard Lake Steam Railway and the Isle of Mull Railway.

Trains depart from our operations base at Rudyard Station which has free car parking. The trip runs from Rudyard Station to Hunthouse Wood, alongside Rudyard Lake. There is an intermediate stop at The Dam where you can break your journey to visit the Rudyard Lake visitor centre just a short walk away.
