New Hanson Shepherd’s Huts & New Hanson Bungalow - A Place for All Seasons. Welcome to our hill farm, beautifully situated above the River Dove near Milldale in the heart of the Peak District.
Two traditional shepherd’s huts nestled on the edge of a small woodland, planted by ourselves, now in its 14th year, providing a calming setting amongst nature.
Named “Fern & “Lily”(our pet friendly shepherd hut) after sheep dogs.
Alternatively, we also provide a cosy self- catering Bungalow sleeping up to 4 persons ideal for couples or a small family, Pet Friendly too with no additional fee to bring your furry friends. A value for money stay in the Derbyshire Dales. Perfect for Rambles or Hikes straight from the door step & visitor attractions. (visit our website for more details) Tariffs from £320 - £595 per week. The shepherd huts full of rustic cha.rm & beauty are reminiscent of the original accommodation for a shepherd, today they offer a Romantic All Seasons retreat to relax, unwind and escape the bustle of everyday life. Ideally suited to couples or the solo traveller.
Each hut sleeping up to 2 persons is beautifully presented & ecologically friendly with no electricity,
TV or internet.
Complete with wood burning stoves to make them warm & inviting all year round, built in double bed with pretty linens & comfy mattresses ensuring a good night sleep. Battery operated lights creating an ambient atmosphere. A camping gas stove for cooking simple meals. All basic pots, pans & crockery provide.
If you don’t want to do all the cooking an optional breakfast hamper can be delivered right to your door to set you up for the day. (visit our website for the breakfast menu)
There is out door seating, to enjoy sitting round the fire pit whilst and star gaze under starry skies.
The toilet & showers in the Old Dairy are just a short stroll 20 metres from the huts through the apple orchard. (In here is a power point for charging your 21st century gadgets)
All our accommodation is perfectly situated near Milldale, Dovedale & the Tissington Trail & Manifold valley, making us an excellent base for walking & cycling. Ask for secure bike storage.
We are also within easy distance of the market towns & Spa towns of Ashbourne, Bakewell, Buxton & Matlock and many of the tourist attractions such as the historic house of Chatsworth Haddon Hall, Tissington Hall, Alton Towers , Heights of Abraham Carsington water, Poole & Peak caverns to mention just a few.
Shepherd Hut Tariffs £50 -£85 per night. 3-4 nights hire £10 per night reduction 5-7 nights hire £15 per night reduction Minimum 2 night Hire at the weekends Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun
