Peak Ascent Cycles

After 30 years of cycling our Director, Patrick Healy decided it was time to pursue his passion for bikes and founded Peak Ascent Cycles in 2018. The new shop at the heart of Buxton's historic marketplace was perfect. The business was founded with the simple aim of providing a friendly and personal service to our local cycling community.

Our fantastic team of passionate cycling enthiusiasts are always on hand to help you with anything you need.

Looking to have an awesome adventure out in the Peak District? Then why not hire one of our e-bikes, perfect for friends and families.

We offer an E-bike Hire service and cater for parties up to four on hybrid E-bikes.

Pricing is £55 per day (9:30 am - 4:30 pm) per bike and £40 for half a day (9:30 am - 1 pm) or (1 pm - 4:30 pm) with helmet hire included.

If you have one of last year's leaflets with the old prices, bring it to the shop and we will honour those prices until the end of summer 2024.

We also offer guided e-bike tours which cater for mixed abilities, young to old or new to e-bikes, its a great way to spend a day in the stunning Peak District countryside, with the local knowledge and experience from our fully qualified British cycling MTB guide.

Our guided tours cater for novice to intermediate riders from 14 years old and above, with varying routes across the Peak District. E–bikes are a game changer, if you have never experienced riding with motor assistance then now is the perfect opportunity, they make the up hills feel like flat ground, and allow you to go much further than you ever would on a normal bike!
