Two spectacularly converted barns overlooking Carsington Water and only a stones throw away to the ancient and charming market town of Wirksworth in Derbyshire. Also on the door step is the whole of the Peak District National Park, with all the attractions it has to offer, including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, numerous National Trust properties and Alton Towers. The local area boasts fantastic facilities for activities like walking, cycling and climbing with the traffic free High Peak Trail less than half a mile away at Middleton Top where you can hire cycles or take the easier option and hire an electric bicycle at Carsington Watersports Centre. Ample shopping in nearby Wirksworth or Ashbourne and the market town of Bakewell is only a short drive away.
The self catering cottages are characterful and tastefully renovated with plenty of space.
