    Belper Arts Trail 2026

Once again our town will be bubbling with creative activity from visual arts, performances, live music and great food!

    About

    3rd May 2026 - 4th May 2026

Join us for the Belper Arts Trail 2026

You can find artists, makers and creatives all over the town centre area in many different venues - displaying, performing and demonstrating.

Come along and be part of this special event.

We are excited to welcome you to the 13th Belper Arts Trail.

2026 marks the 250th anniversary of Jedidiah Strutt’s first water powered cotton mill which made Belper the heart of the industrial revolution.

Belper Arts Trail would like to be one of the many events taking place this year that acknowledge and celebrate this heritage which shaped the creativity and community of our present.

We aim to offer something for everyone and hope that you will join us over this fun packed two day event.

The trail receives no financial help from outside sources and is currently entirely run on artists fees and wristband sales, so we appreciate your ongoing support in helping us to keep this wonderful event running.

Your £5 wristband gains you access to lots of venues as well as supporting the Belper Arts Trail.

None of this would be possible without your help.

Just show your receipt at one of our Wristband Sales Points.

These are located at The Memorial Gardens, The Market Place, Strutt Centre, St Peter's Church and Belle La Vie.

    Parking

🚗 The Coppice Car Park is great place to start the upper trail. A large, free carpark accessed from Belper Market Place where we will have a wristband sales point. There is a height barrier.

🚙 Further up there is a smaller carpark on Landers Lane - the very top end of the trail. Also with height barrier.

🛻 Green Lane has a small pay & display. Field Lane has a large pay & display with immediate access to King Street from the back of Poundland & The Railway pub.

🚘 Strutt Centre has a large carpark and is also a wristband sales point. A great place to start the lower trail.

There is also limited stay parking at Aldi & Morrissons in exchange for your custom. Please check their staying times.

Should you have to resort to on street parking, please respect our local residents and avoid blocking their windows & driveways.

🚂 We also have a central train station with trains running from Matlock, Matlock Bath, Cromford, Whatstandwell, Belper, Duffield and Derby.

    Along with great Bus links.
