Buxton Ramblers Club - Sunday walk near Castleton

Enjoy a short walk around Castleton

About

21st September 2025 9:30 am - 3:00 pm

We usually organise two walks, one short (under 5 miles) and one long (c. 10 miles), every Sunday throughout the year and anyone suitably attired is welcome to join us at no cost. Visit the website to find out more.

Each walk is planned by a leader who is responsible for the route taken and is in overall control of the walk. We usually meet on the top level of the Pavilion Gardens Car Park, Buxton at 9:30am for all walks. Walks either start there or cars are used to get to the start of the walk. Walks will finish sometime between 3:00 and 5:00pm, depending on length, so a packed lunch and drink is recommended. Whilst cafes and/or public houses may feature on some walks, in general they should not be relied upon.

Dogs are welcome on most walks, provided they are kept under control, especially in the vicinity of livestock
