Chinley to Edale Sunday Strenuous

A strenuous walk using mainly paths but with some road walking.  Suitable clothing and footwear for higher, uneven ground of which some parts are very open.  Poles may be useful.  The walk, providing weather is good, has stunning views towards South Head and across to Kinder Scout.  The walk will run whatever the weather

• Chinley – Cracken Edge – Phoside Farm – Highgate Road – Stubbs Farm – Mount Famine – South Head – Jacob’s Ladder – Upper Booth – Barber Booth – Edale
• 11.25 miles
• 2,532 feet ascent
• Potentially some waterlogged boggy parts
  Some steep rocky climbs
• Suitable for more experienced walkers.
• Bring packed lunch and drink
• Be suitably equipment for uplands and weather
