Experience Joe Wright's 2005 film adaptation of Pride & Prejudice on the South Lawn at 'Pemberley'.
About
13th June 2025 - 14th June 2025
Have you heard the news? The 2005 film adaptation of Pride and Prejudice is returning to Chatsworth at last...
It's twenty years since Chatsworth was immortalised on screen as Pemberley (aka Mr Darcy's House) in Joe Wright's enchanting retelling of Jane Austen's beloved classic. This year also marks 250 years since Austen's birth.
These celebratory screenings will be staged on the South Lawn with Chatsworth's south façade as your backdrop. This part of the garden is not usually open to visitors but will be familiar to fans of this Austen adaptation as it's Lizzie's first view of Pemberley (and, yes, those are the steps Lizzie runs down when Darcy discovers her in his house!).
The screenings form part of Chatsworth's Austen250 celebrations, which include talks, creative workshops, a Regency ball and a Regency weekend.
Tickets and further information will be available shortly. Subscribe to the Chatsworth newsletter here to find out first when they are on sale.
