Crich Well Dressing

This ancient custom is only found in Derbyshire and is the art of decorating springs and wells with pictures made from natural materials.

The Blessing is on July 6, 12:00 noon

In 2024, seven are expected:

• 1. Market Place Well Dressings 4 dressings at the old horse troughs in the Market Place
• 2. St Mary’s Church Well Dressing in the churchyard of St Mary’s Church
• 3. Tramway Village Well Dressing at the ornamental gates (not the public entrance) of the Tramway Village on Plaistow Green Road
• 4. Glebe Community Centre Well Dressing outside the Glebe Community Centre on Glebe Field Close

Crich is located on minor roads northeast of Ambergate on the A6.
