Duffield Arts Festival & Scarecrow Trail

Duffield Arts Festival is an annual not-for-profit festival held in the Derbyshire village of Duffield, just north of the City of Derby. The festival offers a broad programme of performances, workshops and talks across the fields of music, drama, art and books, plus much more.

The festival aims to celebrate Duffield’s community by providing something for everyone, whatever your age, background or experience. The variety of events held at Duffield Arts Festival range from music shows, dance performances, art exhibitions, story writing competitions, and not forgetting the Duffield Scarecrow Festival, plus many more events.

The Duffield Scarecrow Trail of 2024 will transport visitors into the enchanting world of cinema and where scarecrows take on the roles of beloved movie characters.

As visitors stroll along the trail, they will be greeted by an array of meticulously crafted scarecrows, each embodying the essence of iconic movie figures. From the swashbuckling pirates of “Pirates of the Caribbean” to the whimsical characters of “Alice in Wonderland,” every scarecrow will bring to life a different aspect of the magic of cinema.

The magic of cinema will not only capture the intricate scarecrow designs but also showcase other surprises including an art exhibition. The Duffield Scarecrow Trail of 2024 will celebrate the timeless allure of cinema, blending creativity, community spirit, and the magic of storytelling into an unforgettable experience for all who attend.

This is a not-for-profit event and it is hoped a significant amount will be raised for selected charities.
