Edale Skyline Challenge Walk
The Edale Skyline Challenge Walk is a classic high level route, based on the race for fell runners.

The route starts from the village of Hope and includes Win Hill, Kinder Scout (our highest point at 636 metres) , Brown Knoll, Rushup Edge, Mam Tor, Back Tor and Lose Hill, before descending to Hope to celebrate our achievement!
- Distance: 20 miles/32km.
- Ascent: 3609ft/1100m of ascent.
- Duration: 9 – 11 hours
- Great For: Hill/challenge walkers who are fit to maintain momentum all day. Participants must be fit and able to complete a full day out on the hills and be comfortable walking all day at a moderate/quicker pace with just small breaks. There are steep ascents and descents on rocky paths with boggy moorland patches if it’s wet.

Start/Finish: Hope Village Car Park, Hope Valley, S33 6SB.
- The car park is a pay and display and (currently) costs £7.90 – the ticket machine may only take coins. Or PayByPhone location code: 806750.
- The car park toilets open at 0800.
Coming by Bus or Train?
We’re keen to support public transport use and reduce emissions. If you’re arriving reasonably nearby we may be able to give you a free lift. Just ask us when you book.
