Foraging at Fischer's 2025

Fischer's are delighted to partner with Foraging Forages, named one of The Guardian’s Top 10 best foraging courses in the UK, to offer guests an exclusive foraging course for 2025.

Join forager Sam for a delightful morning of exploration in the Peak District, where you will discover the beautiful flavours of the wild. Afterwards, return to Fischer's for a thoughtfully prepared two-course lunch featuring seasonal ingredients. The day will conclude with a private tour of the captivating grounds and fascinating kitchen gardens, led by head gardener Kim Orwin.

FORAGING LUNCH

Your day will begin at 9:00 AM at a dedicated location, where you will be welcomed with wild tea and homemade biscuits. After introductions, we will shift into the mindset of a forager before heading out to one of Derbyshire’s wild spaces. There, you will discover a vast array of wild edibles that surround us. Throughout the morning, you'll uncover the abundant wild ingredients that lie just a stone's throw from your dining table.

Return to Fischer’s at 1.00 pm for a 2-course lunch prepared by our Head Chef John Shuttleworth and hosted by our team with a menu inspired by your day, enjoying truly local, seasonal and fresh wild ingredients at their best. Finish your day with a tour around our prolific kitchen garden.

Booking details:

£110 per person, including tea and homemade biscuits on arrival, a foraging course, a two-course lunch at Fischer’s (main and dessert), tea/ coffee, and petit fours, followed by a tour of the inspiring kitchen gardens and exquisite grounds. Departing at approximately 3.30 pm.
