'Glow' High Peak Singers Winter Concert

Community choir High Peak Singers give their winter charity concert on December 7th

Join High Peak Singers at All Saints’ Church, Glossop this Saturday, December 7th, for an uplifting concert full of joyful festive music, performed under the direction of conductor Hannah Brine. The concert is given in aid of Blythe House Hospice, a local charity providing support for patients and families affected by cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.Hannah says; "I’m so proud of this choir and how far we have come on our musical journey! They are sounding lovely, even if I do say so myself”.The choir will be singing a range of traditional and contemporary winter songs, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy. We have around 50 members and sing a range of styles of music. New members are always welcome at the start of each term. Visit www.highpeaksingers.uk for further information.Hannah Brine Originally from Leicester, Hannah has founded a number of community choirs , as well as ITV Voices. She coached the choir for, and sang with, Gary Barlow for his 2016 Royal Variety performance and his 2017 Olivier Awards, for which he was the opening act, and also performed with Gary on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. Her session credits include Disney, Upstart Crow and various dance releases. She has taught at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, as well as studying on the Estill Voice Model Certified Master Teacher programme with Anne Marie Speed. She has an LRSM distinction in choral conducting and in 2015 was named a BBC Unsung Hero for her work with choirs.Her piece Winter Lark, written during the 2020 pandemic which was turned into a virtual choir release, was premiered on Scala Radio, and Ray of Sunlight was recently performed by the London Symphony Orchestra’s Discovery Youth Choir.
