This ancient custom is all but unique to Derbyshire. It's the art of decorating wells and springs with pictures made using only natural materials.
The Mellor Well Dressing will open on June 27th and be blessed on the Sunday morning of the 28th. It will remain in place for a week where you can see it at St Thomas’ Church near the entrance to the churchyard of St Thomas’ Church
Mellor is located on a minor road between New Mills and the A626 at Marple Bridge
