Mercatum Christmas Artisan Markets at Haddon Hall

Experience the true magic of Christmas at Haddon Hall’s renowned Mercatum—the enchanting artisan market that deserves a spot on your festive bucket list. Following the huge success of last year, which saw Mercatum named in the UK press as one of the top ten Christmas markets in the country, this year’s event promises to be bigger, better and more captivating than ever.

As in previous years, Mercatum 2026 will take place in the beautifully decorated rooms, galleries and courtyard of Medieval Haddon. Over 750 talented artisans and makers will showcase their work over six weeks, with artisans changing each week, creating a luxurious and unique Christmas shopping experience. You’ll find a diverse range of crafts, including ceramics, art, chocolates, jewellery, candles, artisan stationery, perfumes, and much more, both inside and outside the Hall, all set against a truly festive backdrop.

Mercatum is more than just a festive market. Haddon Hall’s fairytale surroundings become especially magical during the season, adorned with twinkling lights, elegant decorations, and stunning Christmas trees. Visitors can indulge in delicious street food, hot chocolate, and mulled wine from various stalls while enjoying live music that completes the cosy, festive atmosphere.

Pre-booking is essential. Tickets are available for three timed sessions each day of opening (morning, afternoon and twilight). 

All-day Green Tickets are available for visitors arriving by public transport.
