This ancient custom is unique to Derbyshire and is the art of decorating springs and wells with pictures made from natural materials.
The Blessing is on May 22, 1:30p.m. weather permitting at the Primary School. Cream teas will be on sale following the blessing.
The Primary School Well can be found at the Old Pump on Lid Lane outside Norbury CE Primary School (follow the directions given below).
Norbury is located about 8km southwest of Ashbourne, just off the B5033 between the A515 Ashourne to Lichfield and the B5032 Ashbourne to Cheadle roads.

Approaching from the east on the B5033, take the turning on the left before the village, signposted “Village Hall.” From the west or south, follow the signs to Roston village and take the turning opposite the Roston Inn.
