    Smallholders day at Chatsworth

    A great chance to learn the essentials if you’re interested in keeping your own goats, sheep, pigs and chickens. Includes picnic lunch.

    Learn all about keeping your own animals in this workshop at the farmyard. This will be a great hands-on experience meeting some of the farmyard animals.

    This session includes a picnic lunch from our Estate Farm Shop and is suitable for anyone aged 16 and over.

    Each of our keeper days will cover:

    • What you need to get started
    • Animal breeds to suit your needs
    • Feeding and housing
    • Basic health care
    • Breeding
    • Costs involved in keeping
    • Regulations and documentation required
