What are zombie trees? Find out in this free nature themed half term workshop and walk. No booking required.
About
18th February 2025 - 20th February 2025
This workshop is best suited for children aged 5+ years. Adult supervision is required.
Spend a morning or afternoon discovering nature's 'underworld' in these free family workshops staged over the February half term.
Based at the Stickyard, the outdoor learning centre at Chatsworth, use magnifying lenses to examine the fascinating world of moss, lichen and fungi.
Look at their composition, and discover how they use trees and bark to thrive during the winter months while providing a valuable habitat for tiny creatures and bugs (invertebrates).
Discover what 'zombie trees' are and find out more about the unique habitat they provide, and you can also take part in woodland inspired art activities.
Optional woodland explorer walks will take place each day at 11am and 1.30pm.
