'Wonder World: Earth' book trail at Staunton Harold

Uncover the hidden life beneath your feet at Staunton Harold this February half term, from wriggly worms to busy minibeasts waiting to be found.

About

14th February 2026 - 22nd February 2026 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

Let’s go underground and travel into the murky, muddy earth. There’s no sunshine, no birdsong and no wind. But it’s a world BURSTING with life.’

Join us this February half term to discover fascinating facts about worms, hunt for minibeasts and find out about all the amazing things happening right under your feet.

This trail is based on the book 'Wonder World: Earth' by Ben Lerwill, illustrated by Xuan Le, published by Nosy Crow in collaboration with the National Trust.

Trails are self-led, no sheets or pencils are required.

'Wonder World: Earth' books are available to purchase from the café.

The trail is also running with different activities at Calke Abbey and Foremark nearby.
