BLINDDAD_UK QUOTE

How does a blind guy go canoeing?

With the help of a 2 x 4 of course!
Sometimes it’s the simple things that work. When I asked Peaks & Paddles if they could accommodate a blind guy, a dog and 2 small children on a canoeing activity, they said of course. I wondered how we could make it work, I didn’t want to end up drifting solo down the canal or be towed by my wife and children (I’d never hear the end of it!) When Sally explained the set up I was delighted - 2 canoes fixed together with a big piece of wood and some bungees - that’s exactly how I would have done it.
It just goes to show that the best solutions don’t have to be overly complicated or expensive. You’ll also be relieved to know that I didn’t fall into the canal as I climbed in and out!
