Lithosphere Expeditions is a small-group, low-impact outdoor activities business in the Peak District, run by a guide with a BSc in Environmental Science and Geology, currently studying for an MSc in Environmental Science, who also volunteers as a Scout leader and with the Peak District National Park Authority.

Lithosphere Expeditions is a sustainable, small-group outdoor activities business based in Bakewell, offering guided caving, rock climbing, walking, challenge hikes and geology days across the Peak District National Park, alongside school field trips in geography, natural sciences and earth sciences. The business is run by Aaron Wigley, who holds a BSc in Environmental Science and Geology and is currently studying for an MSc in Environmental Science. He also volunteers as a Scout leader and with the Peak District National Park Authority, bringing genuine grounding in natural and earth science to every session rather than a standard activity-instructor script.

Groups are kept small, typically two to ten, to limit environmental impact and allow time to properly explore the landscape, from 350-million-year-old limestone cave systems to gritstone edges shaped by ancient river deltas. All specialist equipment is provided, guides hold current outdoor qualifications and full public liability insurance, and the business holds a five-star TripAdvisor rating.

Activities suit beginners, families with children aged seven and up, couples, corporate groups, stag and hen parties, and school field trips covering geography, natural sciences and earth sciences. Sessions run in most weather conditions.
