Penny Pot Café
A super friendly hikers’ café in the heart of Edale, serving up great locally roasted coffee and loose-leaf tea, pasties and delicious home-made cakes.
About
The cafe is right by Edale train station, perfectly located for walkers heading out for the day or grabbing a well-deserved hot chocolate and piece of cake on the way back from popular nearby routes up Kinder Scout and Mam Tor. The Penny Pot’s placement on the world-famous Manchester to Sheffield train line means the cafe is only 30-40 minutes from either city.
Not sure where to go? They also have free maps with several routes catering for all levels of difficulty at the café. Do feel free to ask the staff for any tips.
There are also packaged sandwiches from the local deli, if you’ve forgotten your packed lunch (We’ve all been there!)
