Belper Unitarian Chapel Architectural Heritage-Heritage Open Days

The Chapel will be open for visitors to explore our beautiful historic building with Strutt Family burial vaults.

About

20th September 2025 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

The Chapel will be open for visitors to explore our beautiful historic building with Strutt Family burial vaults. We are offering heritage displays and will share with visitors details about our heritage as part of our celebrations.

An antique chapel in Belper which dates back to 1778 will be open for visitors to mark the heritage date.

The chapel forms part of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, having been built for workers for the surrounding mills in Belper. There will be full access to the chapel with limited access to the burial vaults on site.

We will be having displays and will offer discussions about the heritage of our chapel.
