About

7th March 2025

This talk introduces The Gorgeous Nothings: Flowers at Chatsworth, the 2025 exhibition that celebrates the vital connection between humanity and nature.

By bringing the outdoors in and showcasing objects from the Devonshire Collections alongside contemporary commissions, the exhibition highlights Chatsworth’s evolving relationship with nature—past, present, and future.

Join Louise Shannon, Chatsworth's Head of Cultural Programme, as she explores the themes and inspirations behind the exhibition, focusing on newly created works by artists Kipwani Kiwanga, Simryn Gill and Dorothy Cross.

Discover how the exhibition was conceived, its creative process, and how it reflects the ongoing importance of nature in art and culture.
