Get stuck into the gooey centre and have a go at assembling your very own traditional pudding to take home. After this baking experience take in the scenery with the Monsal Trail, an 8.5 mile walk along the former Midland Railway line. AS you walk be sure to take your time and stop to admire the views at the famous Monsal Dale Headstone viaduct and finish the trail discovering Blackwell Mill around 3 miles downstream of Buxton.

Take an extra day to find yourself in the centre of adventure

Hop off the train from London at Sheffield and join the Northern Rail service to Edale line to discover Hope Valley. Filled with rugged landscapes, storybook villages with a range of trails and experiences you don’t want to miss and immerse yourself in the outdoors. From climbing to the highest point in the Peak District at Kinder Scout featuring waterfalls and panoramic views to wandering through the lanes of Edale Village with a hearty lunch in a cosy pub. Stay the night and relax nearby in Hope, before another day of adventure, enjoy spa facilities at Losehill House Hotel & Spa or find yourself a dog friendly base at Bike & Boot Hotel with complementary afternoon coffee and cake. The next day walk along the river and discover village of Castleton before visiting the hilltop ruins of Peveril Castle. From castle views to reservoirs, visit the Derwent Dams used in WWII at Bamford & Ladybower Reservoir.
