Surrounded by meadows and bluebell woods on this family run sheep farm in the Peak District National Park with the famous ‘disappearing’ Manifold river nearby.

This warm and homely cottage caters for 6 guests in 3 bedrooms with a layout that suits families, friends and couples. There is a dining room with super views and a large lounge with blazing log fire, perfect for those cosy nights in.

We are a Pet Free Property.

This is great walking country. No need for the car. Wander down Paradise Walk to Ilam Park and visit the lovely tearooms. Or carry on to Dovedale Stepping Stones, climb Bunster Hill and Thorpe Cloud or explore Thor’s Cave.

Excellent cycle routes and bike hire locally at Waterhouses or Ashbourne. Cyclists can use the Manifold Trail, Tissington Trail, the Monsal Trail or even a loop around Carsington Water.

Places to enjoy during your stay include:

Alton Towers, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Tissington (and the well dressings in May), Uttoxeter Racecourse, Trentham Gardens and Monkey Forest and the National Memorial Arboretum. A must if you have children is the Peak Wildlife Park, a 10 minute drive. You can see polar bears and penguins, mischievous meerkats and so much more.

Visit the Monday market in Bakewell, the Pavilion Gardens at Buxton, Matlock Farm Park, Crich Tramway Museum, Heights of Abraham or the Staffordshire Potteries. Visitors can play golf, go fishing, horse-riding or caving.
