Severn Trent Upper Derwent Valley

Made up of a mix of moorland, wooded valleys, and open water, the Upper Derwent Valley has many walking trails ranging up to 10 miles. The variety of trails offer fantastic views, great bird watching and insights into the area’s rich heritage; there’s something for all ages and abilities. While you’re there, discover the fascinating history behind the ‘Dam builders to Dambusters’ with two new heritage trails taking you through Tin Town and around the Derwent Dam area, following beautiful metal sculptures.

Severn Trent Carsington Water

The three walking trails at Carsington Water, ranging from 1 to 7.5 miles, allow you to take in breath-taking views across the water, vibrant woodland and an abundance of wildlife. Whether it’s a leisurely stroll with family and friends, or something a little more fast paced, there’s something for everyone. Most of the trails are surfaced and suitable for both wheelchairs and pushchairs, plus there is the option of hiring an electric mobility scooter or wheelchair from the Visitor Centre so that everyone can enjoy what Carsington Water at winter has to offer.

Severn Trent Tittesworth Water

Overlooked by the rocky ridge of The Roaches, this is the perfect place to soak up the stunning scenery on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Take one of the trails, ranging from 0.5 to 4.5 miles, exploring meadows, woodland, and wetland at its best. There’s something to suit all ages and abilities this winter!
