Ernest’s Retreat

Ernests Retreat is situated 4 miles west of Chesterfield on the edge of the Peak District. We have an enviable location great for walkers and sightseers! From the glamping site there is a great range of local footpath walks including direct access to the Chesterfield Round Walk. We are located in the Ashover Parish and 3 miles from the picturesque village of Ashover, hosting three excellent pubs and the famous Ashover Rock, the village lies in the beautiful Amber Valley and is surrounded by tree clad hills. Ashover Parish covers a large area of about 10,000 acres and has a network of over 150 footpaths which are all excellent for walking routes.Our Glamping AccomodationWe have 3 ranges of glamping pods suitable for couples and families. There are 6 Rambler pods able to accommodate 2 adults, 8 Camping Cabins to accommodate 2 adults and 2 children and 6 Glampers to accommodate 2 adults and 3 children, one double bed and 3 single bunk beds are provided within these pods. All of our pods have interior and exterior lighting, power points, a heater and a kettle. The pods are situated in a secluded field over looking stunning panoramic views of Derbyshire.
